Richard Branson’s Virgin Voyages is the hottest new cruise company in town and they’re already making waves in the industry despite their first ship, Scarlet Lady, not being launched for another year.
Now the company is upping the ante once more as they announce their new tropical themed terminal at Port Miami.
Port Miami will serve as the home port for Scarlet Lady as she sails to the Caribbean throughout 2021 following her inaugural journey to Havana, Cuba, in 2020. It will ultimately be home to Virgin Voyages four planned ships.
The theme of the new 100,000 square foot terminal will be Miami Beach and it includes a rooftop designed to look like a palm tree.
Miami-based Arquitectonica designed the terminal, which features a two-story storm-proof glass facility and will overlook the cities spectacular skyline.
It will also include designated areas for VIP drop-offs, ride-sharing and more.
“South Florida is our home, and with our fleet now growing to four ships, we’re humbled and thankful to soon have a gorgeous new terminal overlooking the Miami skyline, an incredible view that will set the stage for the alluring journey that we will take our sailors on.” —
